FIT and all hotels are located in the Chelsea area of Manhattan and are walking distance from Penn Station.
Driving
From upstate take the New York State Thruway to Interstate 80 and cross into New York City via the George Washington Bridge. Go south on the Henry Hudson Parkway until it turns into the West Side Highway at 59th Street. Continue going south until 34th Street. Turn left and continue to Eighth Avenue.
Parking
Use the neighborhood map at left to guide you to one of the following parking garages, which are all located between Seventh and Eighth avenues. Prices vary per garage and are approximately $25 for 12 hours; $65 for 24 hours.

By Train
Amtrak from various locations throughout New York State and the Long Island Railroad to Penn Station. Metro North to Grand Central Station; you may then take a taxi to Chelsea for approximately $10 or the subway via the S (Shuttle Train) to Times Square and connect to the #1 train downtown to 28th Street for FIT, the Affinia or the Hilton hotels; or the E or C train downtown to 34th Street for The New Yorker.
From JFK Airport
Travel to the Chelsea neighborhood via taxi is approximately $45 plus tolls. Bus service operated by New York Airport Service Express is available to Penn Station for $15 dollars. Travel to Manhattan is also possible via the AirTrain to Jamaica Station for $5 where you can make a connection to the subway; take the E train to Eighth Avenue and 34th Street for $2.
From LaGuardia Airport
Travel to Chelsea via taxi is approximately $25 plus tolls. Bus service operated by New York Airport Service Express is available to Penn Station for $12.
From Newark Airport
Travel to Chelsea via taxi is approximately $40 plus tolls. You may also take both New Jersey Transit and Amtrak from Newark Airport directly to Penn Station.
