First Conference Held in Downstate Region

New York City was the destination for the SUNYCUAD educational conference from June 11 to 13. Held at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), the conference offered informational track and plenary sessions and networking time with colleagues. Extras included fine dining and access to the city’s cultural offerings for the nearly 230 people who attended the conference.

Two Inducted into SUNYCUAD Hall of Fame

Peter D. Koryzno, director of public relations at SUNY College at Cortland and past president of SUNYCUAD, and Bruce Ryan, dean of external relations at Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3), were inducted into the SUNYCUAD Hall of Fame during the educational conference in New York City on Wednesday, June 11.

Sullivan Receives Education Award

The Honorable Edward C. Sullivan received the SUNYCUAD Educational Achievement Award for his significant contributions to public higher education in New York State. Pete Koryzno, past president of SUNYCUAD, presented Sullivan with the award during the SUNYCUAD Educational Conference in New York City on Wednesday, June 11, as part of the awards dinner program.

Colleagues Connect Through Mentor Program

The SUNYCUADMentor Program is now at record participation with more than 30 mentors/mentees communicating and meeting on a regular basis. This free service to our members gives those new to the field an opportunity to learn from more seasoned professionals and also allows those with considerable experience to learn new skills.
