Fall 2008 Workshop Focuses on Social Media

80 SUNY ADVANCEMENT PROFESSIONALS AT OCC

participants at workshop

Focusing on the burgeoning social media revolution and its impact on higher education, Fritz McDonald, creative director of Stamats, Inc. spoke to about 80 SUNY advancement professionals at the SUNYCUAD Fall Workshop, held Oct. 30 at Onondaga Community College.

McDonald gave an overview of the impact of social media and then discussed tactics for applying it across the higher education spectrum, from admissions recruiting to alumni community building.

The annual Fall Workshop, now in its fourth year, is a chance for SUNY professionals to hear from nationally known speakers on a topic relevant to all SUNY institutions.

We are looking for innovative and cross-functional topics for the next SUNYCUAD Fall Workshop. Send your ideas to workshop coordinators Bruce Ryan (ryanb@tc3.edu) or Amy Kremenek (kremenea@sunyocc.edu).
